Jelly from the Bog

cover of J Lo’s Bronx homage ‘I’m Still Jenny From the Block’ featuring real Irish performers. This piece was recorded literally on our own turf - the Irish famine memorial site in the financial district, Manhattan, NYC.

Docks, Galway

WHAT need you, being come to sense,
     But fumble in a greasy till
     And add the halfpence to the pence
     And prayer to shivering prayer, until
     You have dried the marrow from the bone;
     For men were born to pray and save:
     Romantic Ireland’s dead and gone,
     It’s with O’Leary in the grave

WB Yeats   September 1913

Eve, Mallet and I spent a couple of days working in and around the docks area of Galway. Due to be re vamped in the coming months and the oil tanks to be removed. These have been a landmark in Galway, using this sign, Dead and Gone is a sentiment to these tins of beans like structures. Bringing attention to the area and documenting the environment. Heres a few shots from our activities.
